Start with your working requirements
Before buying equipment, review the applications used at each workstation, recurring faults and where information is stored. A slow computer does not always need replacing: identify the cause before deciding what to change.
What to check before an upgrade
Check software, peripheral and network compatibility. Review backups and identify the data to transfer. For a server, list the services that depend on it and the checks needed after the change.
Agree the scope of the proposal
The proposal should distinguish equipment supply, installation and maintenance. MC Hard reviews each company's requirements to define the equipment and installation work. A review can help you prioritise upgrades rather than replace every computer at once.
